This class is a balance of effort and ease, as Hatha means sun and moon. We will explore coming back home to the body by honoring the breath and remembering the wisdom we hold within. In this class you can expect a focus on mobility, stability, strength and linking movements with breath, our greatest teacher. This is a slower, more intentional practice and suitable for all levels.

Trauma-Informed Yin Series with Rachael Bowden
($35/session or $99 for all 3! )
Join us for a transformative 3-part series designed to deepen your understanding of trauma and healing through the practice of trauma-informed Yin yoga. Each session combines insightful lectures with Yin yoga, meditation, and journaling to guide you on a journey of self-discovery and restoration.
Part 1: Understanding Survival and Neuroplasticity
Explore the survival mechanisms of the brain, focusing on the amygdala, insula, vagus nerve, and neuroplasticity. Learn how these systems shape our responses to trauma and how Yin yoga can support healing.
Part 2: Internal Family Systems and the Spirit Muscle
Delve into Internal Family Systems (IFS), distinguishing between the small “s” self and the big “S” Self. Discover the psoas, often called the “spirit muscle,” and the Hara, a center of safety and grounding within the body.
Part 3: Embracing Suffering and Self-Energy
Reflect on dukka, the first noble truth of suffering, and cultivate self-energy through the practice of Tonglen meditation, fostering compassion and healing from within.
Each session is 2.5 hours and includes a lecture, an hour-long Yin yoga practice, meditation, and time for journaling. This series provides a safe and supportive environment to deepen your connection to self and explore the profound interplay between mind, body, and spirit.
Perfect for practitioners seeking a holistic approach to healing or yoga teachers looking to incorporate trauma-informed practices into their offerings.
